ICL SURGERY BAKERSFIELD

EVO Visian ICL™

Your vision, upgraded.

ICLs, or Implantable Collamer® Lenses, are flexible lenses placed behind the iris to correct nearsightedness and astigmatism. They are a safe and effective option, delivering remarkable visual results. For individuals with very high prescriptions, ICLs may offer superior vision correction compared to LASIK, especially for those with extreme nearsightedness.

Transformative Vision in Just 15 Minutes.

A small corneal opening allows for the insertion of the folded EVO Visian ICL, completing the procedure in around 15 minutes with immediate results. Patients experience comfort throughout, and once in place, the ICL is neither visible nor felt.

ICL questions? We've got answers.

Is ICL surgery covered by insurance?

No. ICL eye surgery is considered an elective procedure and will not be covered under your insurance plan. However, you are able to use your HSA or FSA plan. We also offer 24-month interest-free financing.

How long do ICLs last?

Forever! The Implantable Collamer® Lens is estimated to be last 90 years. It’s guaranteed for life. The satisfaction rate among patients is extremely high, above 99%.

Does ICL surgery hurt?

No. The procedure takes minutes and there is no discomfort. Most patients are able to return to their normal activities within 24 hours.

How long does ICL take?

The procedure takes about 15 minutes and the results are rapid. A tiny incision is created at the base of the cornea. The lens is folded and inserted through the incision and positioned in the eye behind the iris where it is not visible.

Does ICL eye surgery wear off?

Because the ICL corrects for distance vision, it does not eliminate the need for reading glasses if you develop presbyopia (vision after 40) this occurs whether you’ve had ICLs or not.

Is ICL better than LASIK?

If you struggle with severe myopia (nearsightedness) ICL may provide you better visual outcomes and acuity than LASIK. A detailed eye examination is needed to find out if ICLs are appropriate for you.

How do ICLs compare to LASIK?

During ICL we go inside the eye to place the lens behind the iris, while LASIK reshapes your cornea (the surface of your eye) with a laser. They both share the same goal, to help you reduce dependency on glasses and contacts.

When can I return to work after ICL?

Most of our ICL patients are back to work the very next day without skipping a beat. Recovery time is fairly short. You may resume normal activities within a few days.

Can I use my HSA or FSA for ICL?

ICL is a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account procedure. If your company offers a health or flexible spending account you can use pre-tax money to pay for ICL.

Visual freedom is closer than you think.

Seize the moment – opt for ICL now and live a glasses or contacts-free life. Our patients often regret not choosing ICL sooner, realizing the freedom they were missing.
